Newborn photography.
For the newborn photo sessions my home studio is open week days morning hours.
The best time to photograph your newborn is when they are up to two weeks old. This is the time when they stay sleeping and easily go into different poses.
You can book a session at any time during your pregnancy providing me with your estimated due date. Understanding that your baby can arrive earlier or later I reserve some days for rescheduling your newborn session.
So, how to get ready?
The home studio that I have for the newborn babies is going to be warm, around 80 degrees by Fahrenheit, so please:
a) wear something really light. The temperature we set is good for the baby to be in a nice and sleepy condition through out the session.
Since the newborn photo session lasts up to 4 hours you could:
b) grab a snack with you. Please note that it's better to avoid hot drinks in the studio for safety reasons especially when coming with siblings.
c) don't worry if your baby goes on props or blankets :) it's all washable and it's not a big deal at all.
d) grab a pacifier with you even if your baby is not using one (a simple clinic version of it is the best).
Please consider that feeding patterns can change during a photo session as newborns tend to feed more frequently due to the amount of handling and warmth. Being a tiny model is sometimes hard and thirsty work and in order to get some beautiful photos the day of the photo session may look different.
Also when you schedule a session I would like to hear from you in advance if you have any preferences on colors and style.
Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions!
